Finding a psychologist to work with your child is an important decision. For many, starting the therapy process can be a relief, but for others, opening up to someone and talking about painful subjects can be uncomfortable. Children are no different.

I believe that therapy works best when there is collaboration between the client and psychologist in attempting to understand the problem – when it started, what perpetuates it – and then identifying ways of moving forward. Information about family background, present circumstances, and current relationships is usually a helpful first step in the therapy process. Change can be difficult, so the speed at which change takes place varies.

If you would like me to work with your child or teen, please contact me by phone or email to arrange for a short intake interview over the phone. This phone interview is an opportunity for me to assess whether I can be of help to you, and for you to ask questions and get a sense of who I am.

Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page for more information.
